All major livestock-poultry enterprises, presenting everything from the latest technological developments and innovations, to machinery, services, studies, and important food producing animal species, are participating in the only corresponding specialised exhibition in Greece and southeastern Europe, Zootechnia, which is being held for the 12th time from 2-5 February at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre.
Zootechnia marks developments in one of the most dynamic fields of primary production, which is entering into a phase of new investments via the Improvement Plans.
Investment activity in the sector is reflected by the increased attendance at and hosted buyer interest in the event, which provides the best arena for B2C and B2B meetings.
Besides the extensive exhibition content, Zootechnia is framed by a wealth of side events, such as the Pet Festival — a companion animal and animal lover expo — and the Horse Show, dedicated to different horse breeds.
The 7th Pan-Hellenic Congress on Meat and Meat Products will also be held, while the Animal Product Laboratory of the School of Veterinary Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with the support of TIF-Helexpo, will highlight Greek eggs through their long research experience, both in the development of innovative egg products, as well as in the adoption of sound animal keeping practices.
