Collaborative synergies between the University and stakeholders of the animal production sector

During Zootechnia 2025 exhibition, a series of innovative technologies, implemented at farm level, and examples of innovative products by Greek companies will be presented through a joint effort by the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and the Laboratory of Animal Husbandry of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with HELEXPO, and companies in the agri-food sector.
The baseline of this idea is the “stable to table” approach, which will provide the platform of a comprehensive communication and information exchange plan regarding recent developments in animal husbandry, precision animal nutrition and integration of innovations in the value chain of livestock products that ensure animal health and welfare but also traceability and quality assurance.
The overall aim is to highlight examples of vertically integrated companies that, through research partnerships, have created infrastructures and production processes of innovative high-quality products. The visitor will have the opportunity to see examples of holistic systems of livestock management with proper housing facilities and precision feeding systems matching the genetic potential of animals.
